Lewa Safari Marathon Experience

• Morning/Afternoon: Arrive at JKIA, where you’ll be met by the BTR team and transferred privately to your Nairobi hotel. Settle in and take some time to relax after your journey.
• Evening: A short welcome briefing covering the journey ahead, race weekend and your Lewa experience, followed by an evening at leisure.

• Morning: After breakfast, depart Nairobi and travel north towards Lewa, passing through Kenya’s changing landscapes and the Mount Kenya region along the way.
• Afternoon: Arrive in the Lewa area, check into your accommodation and enjoy a relaxed afternoon settling into the spectacular surroundings of Northern Kenya.
• Evening: Enjoy dinner at your accommodation and a relaxed evening, allowing time to acclimatise and prepare for the days ahead.

• Morning: After breakfast, enjoy a relaxed wildlife experience within the Lewa landscape, with opportunities to encounter some of Kenya’s remarkable wildlife while keeping physical activity deliberately light ahead of race day.
• Afternoon: Turn your attention to race preparation, including registration and official race activities where applicable, followed by time to organise your running gear and rest.
• Evening: Enjoy an early dinner and a quiet evening at your accommodation ahead of an early race-day start.

• Morning: Rise early for breakfast before your coordinated transfer to the race area. Take on your chosen Lewa Safari Marathon distance through one of the world’s most extraordinary running environments, surrounded by the landscapes and wildlife of Lewa.
• Afternoon: Cross the finish line and enjoy the post-race atmosphere, with time for recovery, refreshments and celebrating your achievement before returning to your accommodation.
• Evening: Relax after the race and enjoy a celebratory evening in Lewa, with time to share the experience with fellow runners and travellers.

• Morning: After a leisurely breakfast, head out for a safari experience and discover Lewa from a completely different perspective, exploring its wildlife-rich landscapes without running through them this time.
• Afternoon: Continue your exploration with an opportunity to learn more about Lewa’s internationally recognised conservation work and the relationship between wildlife protection and surrounding communities.
• Evening: Return to your accommodation for a farewell dinner and celebrate your final evening in Northern Kenya.

• Morning: Enjoy breakfast before checking out and beginning your journey back to Nairobi through the landscapes of central Kenya.
• Afternoon: Arrive in Nairobi and transfer onwards to JKIA in accordance with your international flight schedule, with arrangements coordinated around your departure time.
• Evening: Depart Kenya on your onward international flight, or continue your journey with an optional safari, coast, running or adventure extension.
