Mount Kenya Sirimon–Chogoria Route

• Depart Nairobi in the morning and travel north towards Nanyuki. Continue to Sirimon Gate (2,650 m) for park formalities and an introduction to the mountain crew.
• Begin the first trek through the lower mountain environment to Old Moses Camp (3,300m), where the expedition settles in for dinner and overnight.

• Continue the ascent through open moorland; crossing the Ontulili River and the striking Mackinder's Valley, with increasingly dramatic views of Mount Kenya's central peaks.
• Reach Shipton's Camp (4,200 m) and settle in beneath the mountain's rugged upper slopes.

• Spend the day acclimatising around Shipton's Camp, with a guided walk to a suitable higher elevation, conditions permitting, before returning to camp.
• The afternoon is reserved for rest, equipment checks and a briefing ahead of the summit attempt.

• Begin the summit ascent before dawn (2:00 - 2:30 am), following the guide's instructions across steep, rocky high-altitude terrain.
• Reach Point Lenana (4,985 m) around sunrise if conditions permit, then descend towards the Chogoria side through spectacular alpine landscapes.
• Continue to the Mintos/Hall Tarns area for overnight camping.

• Continue descending through the scenic Chogoria route, enjoying views of dramatic valleys, mountain lakes and changing vegetation.
• Trek towards the lower mountain camping area, with time to appreciate the final full day in the mountain environment.

• After breakfast, complete the final descent or transfer to the designated Chogoria-side collection point.
• Bid farewell to the mountain crew and return to Nairobi, arriving later in the day.
